According to the "Toirdhealbhach Ó Cearbhalláin - Turlough O'Carolan" page at http://www.irishpage.com/songs/carolan/carolmid.htm, "This tune has been taken from that very rare publication of Carolan's compositions, published by O'Neill, of Christ Church yard,Dublin, about the year 1721; and as such it has never received a place in any of the subsequent publications of Irish tunes, O'Sullivan has decided to reproduce the work in the hope of giving it a permanent existance. ... Dónal O'Sullivan 1 vol. edition 2001." [Courtesy of Vivian & Jack Hennessey, IrishPage.com Jan, 2006].
